Successful press event with ‘Worber’ product presentation in Killwangen inspires trade press

On 28 May 2025, Rapid Technic AG hosted the official presentation of the new Worber attachment at its headquarters in Killwangen. Numerous media representatives accepted the invitation and were impressed by the innovative power and practical relevance of the latest development for forage harvesting on steep slopes.

With the new Worber, Rapid closes the process step between mowing and twisting in green forage harvesting. The newly developed attachment efficiently favours and accelerates the forage drying process, especially on the steepest slopes. The innovative Worber replaces tedious manual work, which previously had to be carried out with forks or blowers, and offers unprecedented, mechanised efficiency.

Work with the machine combination - single-axle tractor with tool-free coupled Worber - takes place in comfortable and safe forward travel. The roller, which rotates in the direction of travel, is fitted with innovative plastic tines in an ingenious shape and grouping, which lift the forage off the ground and fling it backwards. The forage is loosened up, mixed and deposited on the ground in a new structure so that moisture can escape more quickly and evenly. The protective cover fitted to the rear of the worber neatly shields the working area.

The Rapid engineers have designed the entire construction for lightweight construction and a low centre of gravity. This means that the Worber can be driven just as steeply and gently on the ground as when mowing or twisting. The perfect guidance and height adjustment of the attachment is achieved using skids. The working width of the Worber is two metres. In addition to the main application of drying the forage more quickly, the device can also ‘rake in’ edge areas when travelling in reverse - which makes subsequent clearing with a Twister even more efficient.

The first pre-series machines will be ready for practical tests from summer 2025. Series production of the new Rapid Worber will begin in winter 2025/26 at the Rapid Technic site in Killwangen, Aargau (Switzerland), so that they can be delivered for the 2026 season. In future, modern farmers will not only be able to mow and twist with their single-axle tractors, but also worber - and thus produce first-class forage even in short windows of good weather.
